1. Air Show Expo
Step into the future at the expanded Innovation and Technology Expo, where the latest advancements in defense and aviation are on full display. Held inside an F-18 hangar on the MCAS Miramar Flight Line, this immersive experience puts you up close to the cutting-edge technologies shaping the battlefields of tomorrow.
Explore interactive exhibits featuring hands-on demonstrations, virtual reality experiences, and engaging STEM activities. Meet with Marines and industry experts to get a firsthand look at how the United States Marine Corps is utilizing operational energy, unmanned systems, and resilient infrastructure to maintain their edge.

- Kratos’ Unmanned Systems Showcase
Kratos engineers and deploys technology and systems that move national security forward, with the cost, speed, and reliability that make readiness certain. Visit Kratos in Hangar 3 and meet the team members who work on industry leading unmanned systems. You don’t want to miss seeing the XQ-58 Valkyrie, UTAP-22 Mako, Tactical Firejet, and the BQM-177!
- STEM Exhibit: Engaging Activities for All Ages
Dive into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with interactive exhibits designed for all ages. Whether you’re a student or simply curious about the latest in STEM innovation, this exhibit is sure to inspire the next generation of innovators.
The Air Show Expo is located inside Hangar 3—look for the “Fighter Attack Starts Here” sign. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to engage with leaders from across the Services and Department of Defense.
2. Monster Energy’s FMX Team: Extreme Stunts and High-Energy Performances
Beyond the incredible aerial displays, make sure to catch the Monster Energy FMX Team as they deliver jaw-dropping stunts, flips, and gravity-defying tricks. The adrenaline will be in full supply as they perform multiple times a day, offering a thrilling break between the air performances.
Catch the Monster Energy FMX Team all three days (September 26-28) at these showtimes:
- 9:00 AM
- 12:00 PM
- 2:00 PM
Performances will take place near the Observation Deck and Grandstands. Don’t miss out on the high-energy action!
3. USMC Silent Drill Platoon
Returning to this year’s show is the USMC Mounted Color Guard Exhibit, featuring the United States Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard. This is the only remaining color guard in the Marine Corps that carries the U.S. and Marine Corps colors while performing on horseback.
The Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow Mounted Color Guard is known for their precision and professionalism as they perform color guard movements atop their Mustangs. Don’t miss this new exhibit, taking place adjacent to the Grandstands, between Food Courts 2 and 3.
4. USMC Mounted Color Guard Exhibit

5. Precision Exotics: Drive an Exotic Car on the Flightline
When you consider the fact that a car enthusiast and an aircraft enthusiast is separated by only about a half chromosome, then Precision Exotics is the perfect answer for them both. We not only offer you the opportunity to drive the most recognizable exotic cars in the world, but we do so at the most exciting venue possible, a live air show! Choose from two exciting experiences:
- Precision Autocross: Test the speed, handling, and braking of an exotic car as you navigate a coned track on the flightline.
- Precision Extreme Drive: Take it up a notch with the Extreme Drive, where you’ll experience the full power of an exotic car on the runway.
Tickets for these experiences are available on-site. Don’t miss your chance to drive a dream car at one of the most exhilarating venues imaginable—right on the air show flightline! Precision Exotics will be located near the West Blanket Seating Area, close to the Silver Parking Lot.
6. F-18 Photo Experience Presented by Smith Machine and Tool
New to the air show is a F-18 Photo Experience presented by Smith Machine and Tool, located in front of Hangar 3. This activation will be available from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily throughout the air show. Guests are invited to take part in this opportunity. Groups can receive (1) complimentary 4×6 photo print as a keepsake.
